Coming from the
northeastern Syrian plains, the Syrian plastic artist Mahmoud Hesso
cherishes in his being an ancient civilization that gave the world the
important plastic notions in which you can contemplate the splendor of the
myth, fondness of the land, generosity of pure giving, far from the
severity of mundane social theories, which are in stark contrast with the
evil prevailing in the man of the end of this age.
He graduated from the
Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University, with excellence, for his
plastic works, which depict a theme with reasonable freedom in color
homogeneity and flourishing of graphics, coupled with sheer formal warmth.
The humane warmth and awareness sensed while looking at
the components of true inner visions, emerging from the splendor of a
humanistic, poetic and agricultural society, is a word for the age
according to his viewpoint. Freedom, reason and poetic talent, transparent
in his works, form a fine bridge by which he connects with the world. He
works under the assumption that the Good in man is the starting point for
a virtuous, spiritual life.

يحمل
الفنان التشكيلي محمود حسُّو، ابن السهول
الشمالية الشرقية في سورية، في كيانه
حضارة قديمة أعطت العالم مفاهيم تشكيلية
هامة، يتمثل فيها بهاء الأسطورة، وعشق
الأرض، وكرم العطاء الخالص، بعيدًا عن
قسوة النظريات الاجتماعية الزائلة التي
لا علاقة لها بالشر المستحكم في إنسان
نهاية هذا العصر.
تخرَّج
من كلية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة دمشق
بدرجة امتياز على أعماله التي تعكس في
موضوعاتها حريةً معقولة في تناسق اللون
وإزهار الخطوط، مقترنين بحرارة شكلانية
صرف.
إن الحرارة الإنسانية
والوعي في أثناء النظر إلى مكوِّنات الرؤى
الداخلية الحقة، المنبثقين من البهاء
الإنساني والشعري لمجتمعه الزراعي، هي
كلمة موجَّهة إلى العصر من وجهة نظره.
فالحرية والعقل والموهبة الشعرية، التي
تشف في أعماله، تشكَّل جسرًا جميلاً يتصل
عبره مع العالم. إنه يعمل على أساس أن
الخير في الإنسان هو منطلق حياة روحية
فاضلة.
